"Promise me you'll always remember - you're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think."
—Christopher Robin from Winnie the Pooh
Hello, my name is Shelby (she/her), and I use she/her pronouns. I identify as cisgender, White, heterosexual, and female. Throughout my education, I attended a Christian university. While I do not identify as Christian, I consider myself a spiritual person and am open to supporting you if you wish to incorporate this aspect into our therapy sessions. I am the daughter and sister of military veterans, which has provided me with valuable insight into PTSD and fuels my passion for working with individuals affected by such experiences. My work involves supporting clients experiencing anxiety and depression, as well as utilizing neurofeedback with individuals who have had traumatic brain injuries, sleep disturbances, PTSD, anxiety, and depression.
In working with clients, I adopt an eclectic and multimodal therapeutic approach. What does this mean for you as the client? It means I will meet you where you are and incorporate various therapeutic strategies that I believe are appropriate for your current circumstances.
Throughout the week, you may encounter my companion animal, Juno, who has been with me for the past year. When I am not in the therapy setting, I enjoy spending time with my significant other, gardening, engaging with nature—particularly along the Oregon Coast—and, during the summer, attending local baseball games and supporting my favorite team from afar.
