We're afraid that people won't like us if they know the truth about who we are, where we come from, what we believe, how much we're struggling, or, believe it or not, how wonderful we are when soaring. —Brene Brown

Hi there! I’m Jennifer (she/her), a cisgender woman and therapist with white/Italian roots, and I’m also neurodivergent myself. I grew up in California in a lower-income environment, and those early experiences really shape how I connect with clients — with openness, curiosity, and a genuine desire to create a safe space where your true self feels welcomed.

I understand firsthand how systems like classism, ableism, and cultural expectations can influence mental health, identity, and access to support. While I have deep empathy for the challenges that come with navigating these barriers, I also acknowledge my own privilege as a white person. This awareness is at the heart of how I practice — I’m always reflecting on my place within systems of power and working to foster an inclusive, anti-oppressive environment for people from all backgrounds. I’m dedicated to ongoing learning and unlearning, especially around anti-racism, cultural humility, and decolonizing mental health approaches, so that my practice stays accountable, inclusive, and adaptable.

My style is relational, trauma-informed, and sensitive to the complex ways our identities intersect. I especially enjoy working with folks who’ve sometimes felt misunderstood — whether because of neurodivergence, cultural background, gender expression, class, or other aspects of their lived experience that might not fit into mainstream norms.

I’m trained in EMDR and use this powerful, evidence-based therapy when it’s helpful, to support processing trauma, gaining emotional clarity, and moving toward healing. Whether we lean on EMDR or other approaches, I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role isn’t to “fix” you but to walk alongside you, offering tools, reflection, and support as you explore your truths, strengths, and journey toward healing.

Together, we can explore what healing and self-trust mean for you — not by imposing a one-size-fits-all model, but by co-creating a path that genuinely respects your unique experiences.
