“By giving ourselves unconditional kindness and comfort while embracing the human experience, difficult as it is, we avoid destructive patterns of fear, negativity, and isolation.” —Kristin Neff

I believe we each have an inner healing intelligence. Sometimes we need assistance from a therapist to get clarity about beliefs that limit us and to access our ability to heal. I rely on my training in acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindful self-compassion to inform the work that we do together. I have special interest in attachment disruptions; how experiences like adoption, divorce, and other adverse childhood experiences shape future behavior and mental health. I believe laughter and pleasant activities are important to the healing process.

In 2015, my journey into non-ordinary states of consciousness began with a 6-day course in Heart Centered Hypnotherapy. Since that time, I have had an additional 6 years of training in hypnotherapy and holotropic breathwork. Individuals who have gotten “stuck” in therapy or have found themselves repeating negative patterns without understanding why often find success with these modalities. In addition, I am fascinated with the emerging role of psychedelic medicines and how they can be a catalyst for healing.

I am a lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon and my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from St. Martin’s University. In my leisure time, I enjoy travel, gardening, knitting and dancing to live music.
