“The most important step is always the next one” –Dalinar Kholin

I believe that everyone is doing the best that they can, and that we all have a universal desire to be seen, understood, and accepted.  The relationship that develops with the therapist is paramount in helping support you in accomplishing the change you desire.  I utilize compassion, curiosity, creativity, and appropriate humor (therapy doesn't have to be serious 100% of the time) to ensure that our work is collaborative and effective.  When we can embrace our stories and all our parts, we can give ourselves the opportunity to heal and discover more about ourselves, our relationships, daring greatly in the process.

I specialize in working with couples, adolescents, and adults, with an emphasis on trauma recovery. My clients often come to therapy to work through depression, anxiety, PTSD/CPTSD, codependency, relational trauma, identity exploration, grief, and self-esteem issues.

Through our work together, clients feel a greater connection to themselves and others. I provide psychoeducation throughout the process because I believe in empowering clients to have their own insight into themselves. We collaborate on tools to work with emotions and clients earn a greater understanding of how their past experiences influence their present so they may more greatly determine their future.

I primarily employ Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), catering to each client’s specific needs.

I gained my B.A. in Latin American/Caribbean Studies and Spanish from Rollins College, and my M.S. in Couples and Family Therapy from University of Oregon. I have additional trainings in EMDR, EFT, and trauma treatment.

I am an animal lover as evidenced by my furry friends that sometimes peek into sessions.  When I’m not in session you can find me outdoors in the garden, hiking, traveling, reading, or fiddling around on the piano. You may even see me around on the softball field or long-distance running. I speak Spanish and Portuguese proficiently and enjoy really good coffee.
