I believe that therapy is a collaborative process of exploration and growth. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, my objective is to assist you in clarifying your goals and to collaborate on a treatment plan to empower you to reach those goals. I practice from a feminist, body liberation, strengths-based approach that incorporates EMDR, mindfulness practices, DBT, authenticity, and humor.

As a White, queer, neurodiverse therapist, I use an anti-oppressive lens and bring awareness and discussion of intersecting identities, privileges, and marginalization. I believe that body liberation is an essential component to anti-oppressive work, which is defined as “the freedom from social and political systems of oppression that designate certain bodies as more worthy, healthy, and desirable than others.” (Center for Health and Wellbeing at UVM, 2023) As a clinician, I bring my authentic self into every interaction, which results in positive, safely vulnerable, growth-focused sessions.

I have worked in the mental health field for the past 15 years in a variety of settings, including intensive community-based services, integrated care, outpatient therapy, youth residential services, and juvenile justice. I attended graduate school at Portland State University and achieved a Master’s of Social Work with a clinical concentration from 2017-2020. Since graduating, I have received further education in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

In my personal time I enjoy reading (particularly fantasy and scifi), going to the coast with my family and dogs, cooking, listening to comedic podcasts, embroidery, thrift shopping, and swimming.

I enjoy working with adolescents and adults, the LGBTQIA+ community, parents of LGBTQIA+ youth, and neurodiverse humans of all ages. I currently see clients age 11+. I might be a good fit as your therapist if you would like to unpack patterns of behavior and learn new coping skills, recognize and address the impacts of oppression and marginalization, work towards healing from trauma and adverse childhood experiences, create healthy boundaries, and build a more positive relationship with your body.
